KENYA Airways has introduced three weekly flights to Guangzhou, China.
“Guangzhou is the economic centre of the Pearl River Delta, and China’s leading commercial and manufacturing regions.
“So, it is a popular destination for business and travel tourism,†Titus Naikuni, the Kenya Airways managing director, told reporters last week.
He disclosed that Guangzhou had a gross domestic product record of $92m last year.
“Traders can source an array of products, access competitors and strike business deals to market their products in China,†Naikuni explained.
He said apart from business, China is known for a wealth of historical sites such as the Great Wall, the Yellow River Delta and the Yuatai Gardens with its white cloud that hangs over the range.
“The Guangzhou route is an addition to the more than 43 destinations that Kenya Airways flies to from Nairobi,†Naikuni said.
China’s booming economy has made it a major destination for various carriers.
