Life is really unpredictable and as they say God moves in mysterious ways. Monica Poni, a 21 year old housewife and a mother of one, is the proud owner of a new fully-furnished house in Ntinda, Kisaasi. Poni was on Friday called by Zain officials at Masindi’s Boma Grounds to break the news.
The house worth over sh100m is the first among three that Zain is giving away in the Ayyayah Win and Enrich your lifestyle promotion.
According to Nyacoro, Poni’s sister-in-law, they have been renting a house in Buziga, a kampala suburb. “We are happy although it is hard to believe till we see the house,†Poni’s husband is in the US, on Kyeyo (odd business) but when called, he told Poni not to fall for such lies. He sends the family money for airtime, some of which has helped Poni become a new home owner. The house has a fridge, cooker, dining set, tea tables, leather sofa sets, and beds among other items.
“Many of us only dream of having houses and spend time working towards this goal. Zain is giving customers an opportunity to win prizes that are relevant to their needs,†Fred Masadde, Zain’s External Affairs Manager explains.
So far ten cars have been given away and the last two will go in a fortnight’s time in a Kampala draw.
