THE New Vision tomorrow launches a special business section, which will run every Thursday, reports Catherine Bekunda.

“The section will be a one-stop-point for those who need business information,” said Isaac Omoding, the assistant business editor.

The section, called Business Vision, targets the business community, investors, policy makers and the general public.

Business Vision will highlight business opportunities in Uganda as well as address global business issues.
“Uganda is among the fastest growing economies and we thought it important to equip our people with all the business information they need,” Omoding said.
The Ugandan economy is growing at 8.9% annually.
The section will cover local and international business news, global economic issues, profiles of business enterprises and personalities and commodity prices.
“We plan to work closely with the Uganda Investment Authority and the Uganda Export Promotion Board to showcase Uganda’s business potential,” Omoding said.
Deputy editor-in-chief Barbara Kaija said the new product was one more step towards the fulfilment of the Vision Group’s mission to “inform and educate”.

“It is unique with strong analysis and will inform business decisions, provide individuals with personal finance and advertisers with a strong platform,” Kaija said.

Business Vision is the latest in a series of innovative products launched by Vision Group over the last year that included the Saturday Vision, Flair and a redesign of the health, women, careers and weekend sections.
