UGANDA Professional Boxing Commission (UPBC) presidential candidate Salim Uhuru has threatened to go to court if he is barred from contesting.

“I have no option but to take the UPBC executive to court after they tampered with the constitution of the commission,” Uhuru said. UPBC set out election guidelines that state that only paid up members for the last three years are eligible.

Uhuru has in his ranks prominent sports administrator and lawyer Kavuma Kabenge. The general assembly is slated for December 6 with Celestino Mindra seeking a fourth term.
