Alliance Francaise, Mackinon Road Elementary, intermediate and advanced French classes; from January 12 to February 29. They will run from Mondays to Thursdays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and will cost sh20,000 per week. Holidaymakers can also attend the French Club every Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm to discuss day-to-day issues in French.
Kampala Pentecostal Church, Bombo Road
There will be fellowships for S.4 and S.6 leavers every Tuesday. Youth pastors minister to the youth on how to handle sexuality, family, fashion and fun with a Biblical perspective. In these fellowships, the holidaymakers will also organise their own outreach programmes.
KPC’s holidaymakers Camp at Kabanyolo The retreat will enable the holiday makers to get together, have fun, fellowship and be counselled. The camp will run from December 27 to 31, but fees are yet to be confirmed.
Uganda German Cultural Society Mackinon Road, nakasero
Classes in German are available on request. But those who have studied German and would like to keep their grasp are on the language can attend the German movie nights at Cineplex Cinema every second Tuesday, after which there is a two-hour discussion in German. It costs sh30,000.
Tiner International School of Beauty, Wandegeya
Discounted certificate courses in beauty therapy, cosmetology, hairdressing and tailoring. Each of the courses costs sh250,000. Classes start on December 1.
Fame Con Educational Consultancy
Offering a leadership training programme for S.4s, S.5s and S.6s to equip them with life skills like interpersonal skills, positive attitude and income-generation. It runs from January 5-25 at Kitante Primary School and costs sh120,000. Chief speaker is Fagil Mandy.

There will be discounted lessons. Those who enrol will be taught to play the piano, guitar, violin, cello, trumpet, saxophone or flute. Lessons go for a discounted rate of sh15,000 for 40 minutes.
Ndere Centre
Music, dance and drama apprenticeship for P.7 leavers. The fee is sh20,000 per week but participants must cater for their own lunch and transport. Those who excel in the apprenticeship will be chosen to perform on some of Ndere Troupe’s events like the Christmas pantomime.
Jimmy Sekasi Institute of Catering, Kabalagala
Cookery lessons for P.7, S.4 and S.6 holiday makers from December 5. Lessons will be practical and will carry on for one month. They cost sh300,000 and registration is in progress.

Introduction to Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office Applications for S.4 and S.6 leavers. Holidaymakers can register anytime and classes will run for two months. Registration and tuition cost sh130,000.

Get an eight-week course in secretarial skills on the computer, especially Microsoft Word and typing, along with an introduction to computers. The course costs sh130,000. Other computer packages including Excel, web designing, Illustrator and Photoshop are available on request. Registration date is open.
