The Eastern Region technical committee has named 25 players from first division clubs and super division teams, Iganga, Kakira, and Victors to face Uganda Cranes in a build up match on December 17 at Bugembe stadium.<br>

The Eastern Region technical committee has named 25 players from first division clubs and super division teams, Iganga, Kakira, and Victors to face Uganda Cranes in a build up match on December 17 at Bugembe stadium.
The Eastern region team starts training on Saturday at Bugembe stadium under coach Matthew Lucha, assisted by Bright Dhaira.
According to area chairman Sam Lwere, Abdalla Adam, Crispus Muyinda, Ahmed Faisal, Issa Magoola, Hussein Mwangu and Richard Kimera were assigned to pick the team.
The technical committee selected the players from Jinja Municipal, St Jude, Bugembe, Kamuli, Mbale-based CRO and Heroes and three players each from Iganga TC and Kakira and two from Victors football clubs.
The squad: Keepers: Ali Kimera (Victors), Alex Mugabi (JMC Hippo), T. Mwase (Kakira), M. Olupot (Iganga)
Defenders: I. Magumba (Kakira), Julius Isabirye (Iganga),
