Looking for Christmas Gifts for children can be a daunting task. While shopping for her children, Margaret Lubega was amazed at the abundance of options to choose from and a lack of money to get them all.

“I had to hold myself back and remind myself that my son is only two and does not need an entire toy store and that I will be kicking myself later if I spend any more money on him,” Lubega said.

Most parents want to keep their little ones entertained, but at the same time want to provide educative toys so that they can learn necessary skills they will need in their nursery schools.

Lubega has found that many toddlers love “childlike” dolls with pretty faces and huggable bodies and cuddly toys. Cuddly toys should be able to stand rough handling as they are likely to be dragged and thrown around! You can also but the child its favourite animal. Simple soft toy puppets can also be good at a young age.

Most toys are educational and fun for any toddler. Not only do they engage your toddler’s imagination, but also provide a boost in learning and practicing skills such as: button, zip, clip, buckle and tie.

You cannot go wrong with such a gift and your toddler will have hours of fun.

Why would you let your son keep eyeing the neighbourhood children’s bikes? There are brands like Go Diego Go. It is small enough to still be considered a toddler bike, but is cool enough that it looks like a small bike.

DVDs make great toddler gifts too. Toddlers enjoy the fun and excitement that DVDs provide. Not only are DVDs affordable, they will keep the toddler engaged and a good one will be watched over and over again and may even become part of the family’s memories especially if the friends also have the DVDs.
