The Movement government is going no where until it transforms Uganda from a peasant to a developed country, security minister Amama Mbabazi has said. “The reason why we went to the bush is to bring change. We are determined to bring that change,” he said.

He was officially opening Mbalala Parents’ High School in Nama Mukono district on December 10.

He said the Government liberalised education so that everyone attains a certain level of education that will enable him/her to fight poverty. “Education is to empower people to have an independent mind to sustain themselves,” he said.

He urged parents to educate their children because that was the greatest investment they will ever make.

Mbabazi promised to take their requests for power and safe water to the concerned party.

He also contributed sh5m to the construction of the school and bought the school’s Music CD at sh1m. The school was constructed by Ronald Kibuule the area Movement Councilor to Nama Sub County as a fulfillment of a promise he made during the campaign.
