KITGUM Darts Club tightened its grip on the lead in the northern zone darts league on Sunday in Arua.

Kitgum’s Jacob Okidi claimed the men’s singles title after defeating Hotel Pacific’s Collins Asea in a tight decider. Asea could not hold back his tears as teammates consoled him.

Okidi later teamed with David Mukidi for the doubles, which they also won. This raised Kitgum darts
club’s tally to 42 points from five games played.

But Hotel Pacific of Arua, who also hosted the weekend games, emerged the best on aggregate having reached 14 points in just their second match played.

Six teams from Apac, Arua, Gulu and Kitgum participated.
