NTV Uganda’s 24-hour programming can now be accessed on DStv, thanks to an ongoing pan-African drive by Multichoice to include public broadcasting channels on its pay television bouquet.
The free-to-air television station, which has been on air for two years, can now be watched by Ugandan DStv audiences on channel 141 for all the subscriber bouquets – DStv Premium, DStv Compact, DStv Family and DStv Easy View.
The station, whose programming covers local and international programmes recently expanded its signal from Kampala to cover the Western and Eastern parts of the country like Jinja, Mbale, Mbarara and Masaka.
With its inclusion on the DStv bouquet, Ugandans in the other district not yet covered by NTV can now access it if connected to any bouquet on DStv.
The inclusion took effect on November 14, and was celebrated last week at the Serena Kampala Hotel, where employees and stakeholders of the two television service providers toasted to the deal.
NTV Uganda is now the second free-to-air television station to be included on the DStv bouquet after UBC, now on DStv Channel 107.
