Kapchorwa will have a district U-20 football team by March, the chairman of the Mt. Elgon gorofa district football association, Badru Sabila, has said. Sabila said a trophy donated by education ministry’s Aloysious Chebet is up for grabs in an U-20 league, being organised among schools. He said the winner will represent the district at the national level.

Moroto fete
Kapchorwa district darts Association has selected a team of 16 players to tussle Moroto in a friendly encounter on January 15.
District chairman, Ayub Karenget, said the association has procured three sets of playing kits to be used during the friendly that will coincide with the Karamoja sports week.

The executive director for development of the International Tennis Federation, Dave Miley, arrived in Nairobi yesterday for the Africa Zonal Championships that started at the weekend. During his tour, Miley will be assessing the running of the event and how it has been implemented in view of the fact that this is a new event in the ITF Calendar. He will also assess the players within the region.
