ONLY 50 out of the 145km Busunju-Kiboga-Hoima road is tarmacked, the Road Agency Formation Unit (RAFU) has revealed.

RAFU spokesperson Dan Alinange Kitakule said 100km had been covered by stone base but only 50km had been fully tarmacked. The remaining 45km is still being graded, he added.

Kitakule said tarmacking was going on at Buteera, about 40km from Busunju and grading at about five kilometres from Busunju. Others works are going on at about 30km after Bukomero.

“Seventy percent of the work is complete. We expect it to be complete by July,” the RAFU publicist stressed on Thursday. Stirling Civil Engineering is constructing the road.
