SC Villa will today aim to erase any title hopes Kinyara harboured early in the season. Victory for Asumani Lubowa’s side will eliminate one more contender for the title.

Leo Adraa’s Kinyara led the league early in the season before they faltered early this month.

Villa will welcome back Kenyan striker Oscar Kadenge from an ankle injury. They will also be relieved that defender Joram Katende, who was down with malaria, is back to fill the gap likely to be created by injured Joseph Owino.

“Kinyara is a strong side but I have a good team too. We are going to play good football,” coach Lubowa promised fans.

Kinyara are three points behind Villa after suffering their first defeat to KCC last week. Coach Adraa was optimistic he would make amends after the 3-1 defeat at Nakivubo.

“The team is in good shape now. We are coming to Kampala for a win,” Adraa said on phone from Masindi.

A draw is the worst we expect. We want to remain on course for the Super League title.” Adraa added.

In a bid to end basement side Mbale Heroes’ disastrous form, new coach Jimmy Muguwa has promised a winning bonus of sh10,000 per player for victory today against City Lads at Nakivubo.
