ARUA district Division I football club, Ediofe Hills, will this year be supported by Crystal Palace, a first division club in England.

Father Robert Ayiko, the team manager for the Arua side, said his team is enjoying a new found partnership with the English outfit that formerly played in the Premiership.

He said they had received balls to start preparations for this season but didn’t divulge in what other capacity they would be supported.

Meanwhile, Arua District Football Association officials are finalising arrangements to host this year’s regional tournament.

The district is expected to pay the sh0.1m hosting fee and also improve the state of Inzikuru Stadium in Barifa, where the tournament will be hosted.

The stadium, named after Commonwealth steeplechase champion, Dorcus Inzikuru, is in pathetic state and lacks toilets.

Elsewhere, Arua Hill Divison local council has budgeted sh1.5m for the inter-ward football and netball tournaments.
