GEORGE Kiribaki was one of the best PLE candidates in the Primary leaving Examinations in Namutumba district.
He scored aggregate four, leading Namalemba Mixed Day and Boarding Primary School.
The 14-year-old boy is the son of James Kiribaki, the school bursar. Kiribaki’s dream is to become a doctor.
He attributed his success to hard work. “I was encouraged by my friends’ good performance. I used to admire them and this gave me a great challenge and the resolve to work harder,†Kiribaki said.
He said he never wasted any time even during holidays. “I could spare at least an hour to revise after helping my mother with housework,†Kiribaki, who wants to join Kiira College, Butiki in Jinja, said.
For several years in the 1990s, Namalemba used to produce the top PLE candidates in the country.
