SLOW registration by clubs has stalled the kick-off of the Kapchorwa District Football League’s January/february period.

The district football association chairman Badru Sabila disclosed over the weekend: “we have so far registered only five teams out of a total of 30 clubs that were identified last december.

“the delayed registration has forced the association to mobilise unregistered clubs to come forward because we are time bared.”

Sabila attributed the delay on the failure by the clubs to secure the sh25,000 registration fees. He added that acquisition of passport size photographs for the players was also a problem to the clubs.

He said attempts have been made to mobilise the clubs to register but everything has been futile.

Sabila said the league that was to take place at Kapchorwa boma ground will have to be rescheduled to later dates.
