Stanbic shares shed sh5 to close Tuesday’s trading at sh135 in the most subdued day of trading since the bank started trading on the Uganda Securities Exchange a month ago, writes Paul Busharizi.

Stanbic shares shed sh5 to close Tuesday’s trading at sh135 in the most subdued day of trading since the bank started trading on the Uganda Securities Exchange a month ago, writes Paul Busharizi.

The shares traded opened trading at sh135, with 962,017 shares changing hands. That was the lowest number of Stanbic shares that has been traded since their launch on the stock exchange.

On Monday, Stanbic shares closed at sh140.
At the dfcu counter, 113,250 shares were traded. They opened at the previous day’s sh440 close to close at a three-month high of sh450.
