DO you love watching cartoons on television? Do you watch the funny Scooby-Doo cartoons? What about the Flintstones? Do you know who made these cartoons?

If you do not know, it is a man called Iwao Takamoto.

Sadly, this man has died. He had become very old. He was 81 years old.

One day, Takamoto, who loved cartoons, decided to make a funny-looking dog. The dog had long ears and wobbly legs. He coloured the dog orange and named him Scooby-Doo.

Scooby-Doo’s favourite food is Scooby snacks and his best phrase is Scooby-dooby-doooooooo.

Takamoto also made cartoons like the Flintstones, Muttley the dog in Wacky Races and Astro the dog that runs around in The Jetsons cartoons.

Takamoto also made other cartoons like Cinderella, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians and The Lady and the Tramp.

Though Takamoto, the man who made Scooby-Doo cartoons has died, you can remember the good things he did for the cartoon world. You can do this by watching Scooby-Doo and his friends Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Freddie on television.
