Salima Nambozo (right), the second best A’ Level student in Mbale district, says her father, the Multi, Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje, greatly contributed to her success.

“Dad always encouraged me to take my studies seriously. Every time he would counsel me with words of wisdom,” said a smiling Nambozo.

Nambozo, of Hamdan Girl’s High School, Mbale, scored 3BCAB in General Paper, History, Economics, Arabic and Islamic Studies.

She, however, said her dad hardly visited her at school. Mubajje only visited once as a chief guest to celebrate the success of the school’s senior four candidates last year.

Nambozo, however, could not share the joy with her parents because they had travelled to the United Arab Emirates.

She wants to take Law or Mass Communication at university.
“My advice to fellow students is to read hard and focus on their future,” she says.
