Instead of complaining to the issuing authority, the MPs amused journalists when they promised to deal with The New Vision which publsihed the story. “We are going to sue New Vision for this story. Who told them that we have received sh35m for cars? Secondly, how can they say that government is going to give us only sh35m?†One MP said. Please MPs do not kill the messenger.

To be a finance minister and stand the pressure of ministries, you must be a smart man. When he realised that he might not escape the grilling faces of MPs, finance minister Dr. Ezra Suruma decided to interrupt MP Micheal Ocula, asking him questions until he (Ocula) sought for protection from the committee chairman Issa Kikungwe.
“Can I be protected from the minister of finance? He is not giving me chance to finish my points,†Ocula demanded.
Latigo’s untimely slip
Some bad things really know when to occur and then spoil good moments. During their return to the House, Opposition MPs’ excitement did not last as expected. Led by Prof Ogenga Latigo the MP’s smiles and trade mark V-signs did not last long as they were interrupted when their leader Latigo slipped, almost falling on the floor of the House. Those who were watching them, wondered whether the slide was a blessing or a curse.
“Is the slide representing a blessing or a curse?†one MP asked as Latigo laughed it off.We hope it’s a blessing.
Kaddu’s Mambo Bado
Though he is not one of the most vocal MPs in the House, Mityana North MP, Kaddu Mukasa, is a household name especially to listeners and lovers of CBS radio’s Mambo Bado programme. Last week, he asked several Mambo Bado members to go with him to his constituency because his constituents has so requested. Though quiet, at least he discusses issues with his constituents.
