Naava pinned over fraud KAMPALA - Former presidential aide on legal affairs, Catherine Naava Nabagesera, is yet to clear charges of fraud against her. Yesterday, a state witness, William Mubiru, accused her of obtaining sh1.5m from him by false pretence. Mubiru claimed that he was introduced to Naava by Sulaiman Kibuuko for recruitment to work in UK. He told the Buganda Road Court chief magistrate, Margaret Tibulya, that he gave sh1.5m to Mariam Kigozi at Raja Chambers on Parliamentary Avenue under Naava’s instructions. Kigozi was a personal secretary to Naava, who is facing charges of allegedly conning people of sh73m under the pretext to get them jobs in the UK.
