Lover Dee in town

UNITED Kingdom-based Ugandan Afro-beat artist Lover Dee (right) is in town to launch his second album, Mamboot U Life in Verina Gardens, Kasese. Lover Dee will perform alongside Blood Fire Crew and Lady Mafia.

UNITED Kingdom-based Ugandan Afro-beat artist Lover Dee is in town to launch his second album, Mamboot U Life in Verina Gardens, Kasese. Lover Dee will perform alongside Blood Fire Crew and Lady Mafia.

Gates open at 8:00 pm and entrance is sh5,000. Twenty-six year old Lover Dee (real name Ronald Twambale), lived in Sweden for over 15 years before relocating to the UK where he has spent four years.

The title track Mamboot (Rukonjo slang for Life) stands out because Lover Dee employs lyrical potency, the defining line between a bad singer and a good one.

Mamboot album was recorded from East African production, East London.

Other tracks on the album include Mtu Mmoja, Sarah Wange, We Dancing, Shida Mingi, Thuyowe, Sometimes and Omusinga Wabayira.
