SIR — I respond to Monicah Amoding’s articleâ€Men should surrender some power to women†published on Wednesday. Monicah needs to be educated about the roles and duties of a man and a woman.
She talked of inequality in the home where men decide everything. The problem is that people like her who talk about gender equality confuse women and tell them lies that they are being mistreated. They incite women to rebel.
Equality doesn’t mean we do the same things. It means we do what each gender was created to do. A man can never go in labour or carry a baby for nine months.
We should stop confusing the public and learn what each of us was created to do and do it and we shall live in harmony. Robert Semukaaya Makerere University
