UNEB, how much are PLE fees?

SIR — Margaret Grant Preparatory School owes its parents an explanation. The school gave us registration forms for the Primary leaving Examinations (PLE) for 2007 with a deadline of March 19! I request the Uganda national Examinations Board (UNEB) to comment on this matter.
SIR — Margaret Grant Preparatory School owes its parents an explanation. The school gave us registration forms for the Primary leaving Examinations (PLE) for 2007 with a deadline of March 19! I request the Uganda national Examinations Board (UNEB) to comment on this matter.
Secondly, we have been asked to pay sh55,000 for registration while other schools are asking for only sh10,000 for the same PLE. Again I request UNEB to tell the parents what the correct figure is. As if that is not enough, pupils at Margaret Grant will not have Easter half term holidays because they have to “finish the syllabus†this term.
That would grudgingly be acceptable but the parents have to pay a compulsory sh5,000 for every child for feeding during that break! Most pupils who attend this school come from within a radius of 4km. Why can’t they be allowed to go home?
I think the Ministry of Education should take interest in this school and check its exploitative activities.
