SIMBA Telecom launched its mega three-month promotion dubbed Mobile = Mobility last Thursday.

In the promotion, three Subaru Forester cars (each valued at sh20m), are up for grabs among other prizes like computers, DVD players and weekend get-aways at cozy destinations.

Jacqui Mwangi, the marketing manager, said it was the biggest promotion ever done by Simba Telecom and MTN.

Spread out in 60 outlets countrywide, for every sh50,000 one spends, one gets a coupon to enter the monthly draw, where a car will be given away.

“We decided to give out a car that sounds like the roar of a lion, Simba Telecom’s symbol,” Mwangi said.

Tina Byaruhanga, MTN’s publicist, said: “The partnership helps in engaging our customers (MTN) through dealer outlets like Simba Telecom,” she noted.

Patrick Bitature, Simba Telecom’s chief executive, said the promotional aims at rewarding their customers.

“We are fortunate to partner with Nokia and MTN. It is my dream that every Ugandan gets an MTN line and Nokia phone from Simba Telecom,” Bitature said.

The campaign, spread out amongst MTN, Nokia and Simba Telecom, is worth over sh500m.
