UGANDAN three-year-old motorcycle genius Alestair Blick has finally found competitors in the United Assurance Central Africa motocross championship at Garuga this Sunday.

Alestair, who has been racing alone in the 50cc category since he shocked the country by joining motocross in February, will face five-year-old Kenyans Mohammed Anwar and Samir Anwar.

Motocross national team captain Arthur Blick is the father of the whiz-kid.

“That boy is a brave rider. Alestair is amazing, whenever I go with him to Garuga for training he gets faster and braver. I am glad he’s going to be challenged by the Kenyans. I wouldn’t be surprised if he beat them,” Blick commented.

The Africa Motorcycle Union motocross championship will feature riders from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Congo. The race has the open class, 125cc, 85cc, 65cc and what promises to be an exciting 50cc featuring infants.

The race, sponsored by United Assurance, is organised by Uganda Motocross Club and Speedway club.
