LEAGUE title contenders URA FC, KCC FC, SC Villa and Kinyara return from the mid-season break determined to outsmart the other for the highly-coveted championship.

Their credentials however face the sternest test yet when the decisive and tension-packed bend of the season rolls off today.

Kinyara v URA FC
URA will have to evoke the championship-winning mettle that saw them ghost 4-1 past Kinyara in their earlier meeting this season.

Allen Kagina’s charges have so far done everything else to suggest they could after all be good enough for their second consecutive title.

Patrick Ochan and Dan Wagaluka are two excellent figures the tax collectors will look to for deliverance in Masindi, where Kinyara are yet to lose a game.

Kinyara will continue to rely on the midfield know-how of Zamayoni Kwikwi, while veteran Fred Makhoha, willing but limited, will front the side’s free scoring attack.

“At least I am sure we won’t concede four. I have everybody fit, and in fact spoilt for choice,” Kinyara coach Leo Adraa quipped.

Iganga v KCC FC
With the gap becoming increasingly tight at the top, KCC cannot afford a slip at the Ssaza grounds where Iganga have lost only once.

“Iganga is a very difficult place though I often managed to score there while still at Mbale,” KCC and league top scorer (10) Hamis Kitagenda remarked. He scored one of KCC’s two goals against Iganga in the first round.

Express v Maji
Express FC’s transformation from perennial title contenders to relegation strugglers this season has been nothing short of shocking.

The mid-season recapture of Francis Onyango should however lift an Express side that looked short of cover and experience at the back since the departure of Cameroon defender Emma Zitolo.
