Guinness, Genius, Genes ... Well, it never really mattered how people placed orders for the ‘connoisseurs drink’, as Guinness launched a new communication campaign, Greatness at Serena Hotel on Tuesday.

Guinness, Genius, Genes ... Well, it never really mattered how people placed orders for the ‘connoisseurs drink’, as Guinness launched a new communication campaign, Greatness at Serena Hotel on Tuesday.

One reality they agreed upon as they started their night with a Guinness was that nothing tastes like greatness. They stood out on the evening and never needed marketing manager, Suzanne Mpanja’s reminder that “Guinness has always been about greatness.”

There is a drop of greatness in every man. Forget that Michael Power showed greatness of one man, the evening was about celebrating greatness in every man (and woman).

Seven winners, six of them women from different newsrooms, were rewarded for their greatness, manifested through acts of kindness at the workplace. They were secretly nominated by fellow workmates.

Some of the kind inspirational behaviour was as great as gathering leftovers to feed stray dogs around the office, sharing transport with fellow broke journalists or buying sugar for the office kitchen when management turned a deaf ear.

Macrines Nyapendi (New Vision), Edgar Batte (Monitor), Rose Bukirwa (UBC), Jackie Nalubwama (Weekly Observer) were some of the winners.
and drawing attention of potbellied guys.
