KNIGHT Riders will be looking to end their two-match losing streak when the National Basketball League resumes at Lugogo today.

The Knight team takes on Kampala International University while Uganda Christian University team faces Nabisunsa.

Riders went down 91-70 to the skilled Sadolin Power in their opening match of the season before succumbing to a 67-56 loss to MUK Heaters last week.
Today, the talk of confidence and momentum builds up in the Riders’ camp as they aim to put the double defeat away.

Victory would see them score one of the biggest league upsets. “I think it will be a very tough match for us because KIU is quite a big team,” Riders guard Collins Mukiza explained.

“KIU players will give us a lot of trouble but we have a plan to bring them down.”
Riders will again look to the brilliant form of their key players in Mukiza and Michael Omondi.

The two men will also shoulder the burden of carrying the team against their rivals.

KIU will be seeking to continue the performance that has earned them two consecutive wins.

The team upset former champions Mogas Falcons and last season’s runners-up Sadolin Power.

MUK-Sparks will battle last year’s runners-up KCC Leopards in a thrilling women’s encounter at the same venue.
