SIR — I appreciate all the wonderful programmes WBS TV airs. And I appreciate the effort many schools are putting in teaching children about the importance of the environment. However, on Sunday May 6, during a mid-morning children’s programme, I watched a music video title “Conserve our environment”. It was by pupils from one of the primary schools around Kampala.

The message contained therein was very good; however, emphasis in terms of actions was more on dancing calypso strokes.
It would have been great if this video contained a few actions demonstrating how we can conserve our environment. Positive actions are what we need to show to our children.
Mere dancing and assumptions that we all know what environmental conservation is will never create the desirable change.
