EXPRESS Football Club’s battle to avoid relegation faces a stern test today when the Red Eagles visit rivals SC Villa at Nakivubo. It is a match where the Wankulukuku side have to muster all in their arsenal and upset the Jogoos if they are to avoid the drop zone.

Moses Aduni, Godfrey Kavulu and Paul Kibande are the strikers coach Kennedy Lubogo will be banking on for goals.
Express’ top marksman Aduni has had his suspension lifted in the club’s quest for full strength.

An optimistic Lubogo yesterday insisted that their 0-0 first round result against Villa should not be used as a basis for judging today’s game.

“Nakivubo is a much better ground than Wankulukuku. We should therefore be able to put up a better show on the away ground,” argued the coach.

Lubogo however acknowledges that Villa is a good side, but was quick to add that the Jogoos are prone to mistakes at the back. Villa coaches Asuman Lubowa were last evening too busy laying strategies to talk to journalists.

But they have more depth in players like Augustine Nsumba, Henry Kisekka, Alex Ndugga, Andrew Nkurunungi and attacking defender Joram Katende.

At Mukono yesterday, home side Mukono United whipped Maji 4-1 to heighten the Red Eagles relegation woes. The win moved Mukono a step from the drop zone as Express fell to the dreaded area.
Vicky Okello, Mustapha Mutesi, Bright Kiirya and Patrick Hila scored for Mukono.
