I am not discrediting women movements, but gender equality should also involve women in terrible situations,” former East African Legislative Assembly MP Irene Odida Ovonji during a debate on women’s influence on the Governance agenda in the multiparty system.

“The message of love and reconciliation preached here by Bishop Lulaga and other bishops should be taken seriously. I am a Christian, but I hate people who call themselves Christians and instead promote hatred and lies to create disunity,” President Yoweri Museveni during Martyrs day celebration at Namugongo on Sunday.

“The State may be likened to a long living tree. Parliament, the Executive and the Legislature may be compared to the parts of a tree such as the branches, leaves, flowers and roots where each part has a function to perform in a special way because none is more important than the other,” Justice George Kanyeihamba, urging the executive not to interfere with the Judiciary.
