DANCEHALLl sensation duo Peter Miles and Menshan on Tuesday went to Germany, to represent Uganda at The Group of Eight (G8) summit concert dubbed The P8 Concert on Action against Poverty.

Clad in outfits made out of the national colours; black, yellow and red, they left ahead of their musical performance yesterday at Heiligendamm, where the summit ends today. “I feel excited. It’s always been part of my dream to represent my country at a function of such magnitude,” Miles said.

The G8, formerly G7 until Russia joined, is an international forum for the governments of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

These countries represent about 65% of the world economy. Miles and Menshan yesterday confirmed their performance at the annual function attended by about 60,000 people all over the world.

The duo shared the stage with renowned international bands like U2 of Europe and the German-based Seed. Out Here Records, a German record label that distributes Peter Miles’ music abroad, reportedly negotiated a good deal with the duo.
