A group of about 40 local homosexuals on Monday met at a Kampala restaurant for hushed up party from 1:00pm to 9:00pm. Snoops say that banished Anglican Bishop, Dr Christopher Ssenyonjo, attended. Ssenyonjo turned up in a hired Toyota Corolla driven by a woman.

The gay group had the restaurant cordoned off by private security guards. They later vanished into the night in pairs. Ssenyonjo, a counsellor of the gay group — Integrity Uganda, who confirmed his presence, told our snoops that a local security operative had violated one of the gays because of his sexual orientation.

“They (gays) went to court to seek justice,” he said. Ssenyonjo said the gay community was looking for ways to be “accepted and recognised” in the country.
