A BODY of a white man was recovered from Lake Victoria on Wednesday night, making it two corpses recovered in two weeks.

The central region Police chief, Alfred Bitwire, yesterday said fishermen found the unidentified man’s body at about 8:00pm near Wamunyo Island. He explained that no identification had been got on the body and it lacked marks of torture.

He appealed to the public to help identify the corpse which had started decomposing.

The Entebbe Police chief, William Obong, said the man, was thought to be in his mid-40s and was wearing black pairs of shorts and a red t-shirt with the inscription “Ronaldo” on its back.
Over a week ago, another white man’s body was recovered in the lake close to Kavanyanja Island.

Police said it was not sure if both men were traveling together when their boat capsized. The first corpse was taken to Mulago Hospital mortuary.
