CAUGHT up in the heat of the moment, an ecstatic Gladys Mukula, wife of beleaguered former health state minister Mike Mukula, might have kissed her man in public on a whim and not given it a second thought after he was granted bail, recently.
CAUGHT up in the heat of the moment, an ecstatic Gladys Mukula, wife of beleaguered former health state minister Mike Mukula, might have kissed her man in public on a whim and not given it a second thought after he was granted bail, recently.
But elders from Teso, where Mukula hails think otherwise. Things have not been made easy by the fact that the media had a field day with it, flaunting the couple’s kiss on front page. The act has sparked off a hot debate among the elders. Many have moved to publicly disparage the action arguing that Gladys should have reserved the moment of passion for the bedroom.
Snoops tell us that call-in programmes on most of the region’s radio stations are dominated with this debate, with most elders claiming their son is a high profile citizen who did not deserve to be degraded by Gladys that way.
The younger, more dynamic voices that tried to defend Gladys were dismissed with the elders arguing that Gladys’ bold public move was meant to scare off poachers. Hmmm.
