NATIONAL champion Asaf Natan was in sparkling form, sweeping all three heats to win the fourth round of the National Motocross championship at Garuga on Sunday.

Natan’s challengers Arthur Blick, Harry Klonaridis and Barrack Orland trailed in his dust as he sped to a third straight national championship victory.

The 2006 motorcyclist of the year enjoyed a flawless display while his would be main challenger Blick had a bad day that saw him tumble on his motorcycle.

Upcoming Klonaridis was quicker than Blick in two of the three heats to snatch second place with 49 points.

Blick was third in the first heat, crossed the finish line a distant sixth in the next heat before battling to second place in the third one. Blick settled for third overall position at 42 points.

“It was a bad day for me. Asaf is very fit, I have to train hard to beat him,” Blick stated.

Three-year-old Alestair Blick, whose challengers did not show up, scooped points in the 50cc class.
