SENSATIONAL crooner Betty Mpologoma is now a solo artiste. Mpologoma, formerly a member of Jungle Production, said she saw no personal progress during her eight-year involvement with musical groups.

“I have discovered that it is necessary for me to start a musical project, which will bring me progress before I grow old. I have been involved with bands for about a decade, but I have nothing to show for it,” Mpologoma said.

She said she would continue to write songs and produce albums.
Mpologoma started singing in an Adventist Church choir, when she was a student at Kabulassoke Primary School.

The Ebonies noticed her while she was at Bukandula Secondary School and recruited her in the group in 1999.
She featured in the Ebonies’ musical dramas like Diamond Ring and The Boss.

Mpologoma is also one of the swan-like sopranos in the Ebonies’ songs Twalina Omukwano Negufa and Nakwagalannyo.
She joined Kato Lubwama’s Diamonds Production in 2000.

In 2003, she joined KAT Production of Travis Kazibwe. Mpologoma joined Jungle Production in 2005.
