EDITOR—In June members of the US congress wrote a letter to President Bush urging him to dispatch a senior diplomat to Juba to support the peace process between Uganda and the LRA rebels. this envoy would basically give a feedback to the us government and all her allies about the progress of the talks. I am strongly opposed to any American interference in the talks since we have gone far enough.

Besides, anything involving America seems to always be associated with failure and loss of lives. Look at the chaos in Iraq! i believe they want to get all the credit in case the talks succeed. The US cannot be trusted especially with Uganda striking plenty of oil!
