AMERICAN R&B singer, Montell Jordan’s plans to record something with Blu*3 hit a snag.

Apparently, the girls’ phones were unavailable when producer and manager, Steve Jean, raised them on Sunday to come in for a recording session at Fenon Records. They were fast asleep from the previous night’s exhaustion.

Montell and the girls had entertained hundreds of fans at the KCC Grounds at the launch of Burrn, Blu*3’s latest album, the previous night.

A disappointed Montell shrugged it off, telling Steve that it was just as well because his voice was hoarse and he too was a little exhausted, anyway. But take heart.

The towering singer assured Steve Jean he could still fulfill his pledge to record a song with the girls because he plans to return to Uganda later this year.

The singer, who returned to his home in Atlanta, Georgia in the US early this week, said: “I will be pleased to return to Uganda before the end of year; possibly in September, to launch my album here.

And if all goes well, I might bring with me one of the big international artistes.”
