HAVE you noticed how much we like hanging on to things? We hang on to all kinds of buveera to carry our shoes to the cobbler; biscuit tins to use as sugar bins and empty ice-cream tubs for whatever reason. We even keep empty perfume bottles.
We may come up with reasons why these things are important and how they will come in handy in future. But all that achieves is cluttering up our otherwise simple and beautiful lives.
You can have enough space in that seemingly small kitchen if you got rid of the packaging box in the corner; the old scrubbing brush and old vim can under the sink; those mineral water, wine and juice bottles in the cupboard. Throw out everything you genuinely do not need.
Your dressing table could do with some attention every so often. Many times we buy more lotion, deodorant or another set of combs and still hang onto the old ones. If you don’t free up space on your dressing table, you will soon have nowhere to put the heavenly perfume you get on your birthday.
Go through your bathroom and throw out all those empty detergent tins, toothpaste, used up air freshener canisters and empty beauty product containers. That packet with a little detergent left in it must go. You have no space for clutter in your bathroom.
Go through the whole house and get rid of the clutter. You know what the clutter is so throw it out. Have only what you need at the moment and let the future take care of itself.
