Do you have visitors you want to serve a variety of dishes through self- service? Then buy serving dishes.

Serving dishes are food utensils that help to keep the food warm. The dishes come in different makes such as metallic and plastic.

The dishes can also be used to carry food to schools on visiting days and in hospitals.

Margate Namuleme, the proprietor of St. Jude Catering Service, says she uses the dishes to serve at functions like family gatherings.

“The dishes are good and come with lids that cover the food well,” she says.
Apart from keeping the food warm, the dishes are easy to clean. All one needs is soap, a simple sponge and lukewarm water.

Namuleme says the dishes are easy to carry when travelling. One packs the dishes together by resting them on each other, ranging from the biggest to the smallest.

Frank Mukasa, a salesman of Standard Supermarket, opposite the Old Taxi Park, says the dishes are long-lasting and can keep all types of food.

They are available in Standard Supermarket, Capital Shoppers, Quality Supermarket in Kikuubo and other shops in Kampala

Hassan Ssemakula, the manager of Standard Supermarket, says serving dishes range from sh20,000 to sh30,000, depending on the size and brand.
