BAO Xi Shun is the tallest man in the world. He is 2.36 metres tall. When standing, President Yoweri Museveni’s head can reach his stomach. Xi Shun weighs 165kg. That means he is heavier than your class teacher and head teacher put together. His legs are 1.5 metres long. His palm is 38 centimetres, which is bigger than an exercise book.
He is 56 years old. He comes from a country called Mongolia near China and speaks a language called Khalkha Mongol. His wife is Xia Shujuan, a 29-year-old woman.
Xi Shun’s main job is cattle keeping. Also, people use him for publicity and they pay him for it. He is very friendly to people and allows many to take his photos. During free time he reads books, walks and plays cards with his neighbours and friends.
At first Xi Shun grew up as a normal child, but later on he begun to grow very fast. At the age of 16 years, he was the tallest man in his village. By the time he reached 18 years, he was the tallest man in his country. He continued to grow and now he is the tallest man in the world.
Xi Shun has a chair and bed specially made for him at his home. His mother died when he was 40 years and his father is 94 years old. His family members are of normal Chinese height.
