PRO-LINE soccer academy has introduced a full-time training camp in Namugongo which they have dubbed “Big Brother Houseâ€. It will for a start have 23 players in the U-17 category.
“This is the beginning of our plans to introduce a full-time soccer academy,†director Mujib Kasule said. “The idea is to have these players develop a mentality of staying in academy facilities.â€
The first “housemates†include Ronald Kisekka, Musa Mawanda, Simon Kyeyune, Johnson Luyiga, Alex Kakuba, David Kamista, Denis Makoba, Patrick Edema, Buruhan Ssebuggwawo and Suleiman Luzige.
Others are Sulaiman Jjingo, Kudus Elasu, Moses Lubega, Richard Mugalu, Noah Sadat, Henry Baganza, Aziz Kemba, Ali Feni, Francis Loum and Otim Kizito. According to the schedule, after every training, the youths will be transported to the house, where they will follow a strict diet formulated by the academy.
They will also have soccer lessons, watch football and will not be allowed to take alcohol or smoke. However, they will be given a day off to visit their families. “They have to abide by the rules otherwise we will have no option but to expel them,†Kasule warned.
