DANIEL Ruyange returns to action on the local courts at Lugogo when the one week sh5.2m Mukwano Industries-sponsored Kyekyo Open starts on Monday.
The player, who returns from Danish club Rodovre, has intimated to organisers how he intends to make an explosive return.
Tournament director James Kasumba said Ruyange had stepped up training in an undisclosed camp ahead of Lugogo club’s major event.
“Ruyange can spice up the event but I don’t see it coming easy because there is money at stake. All players are already excited,†Kasumba said.
Ruyange last competed locally in June 2006 where he won the Rwenzori Open.
He will tussle local opposition in Kampala Club charges Godfrey Uzunga, Herbert Buyinza and Jinja-based Mustafa Lwanga, who have also showed interest in the competition.
The Kyekyo (formerly Nomi) Open has a stake of sh1.2m prize money to the various winners.
