SEMBABULE-The Sembabule deputy Resident District Commissioner has asked Muslim parents in the district to take their children to schools founded by their faith instead of those founded by the Church. Joseph Sekabiito said he was shocked to find some Muslim-founded schools with less than 100 pupils. “Your religion allows you to marry many wives, giving you a chance to have more children but your schools have the smallest population,” he said. Sekabiito was speaking at the welcome party of Hajjat Hamida Nabajja who returned from a pilgrimage in Mecca recently. This was at her home in Mateete on Saturday. Sembabule Woman MP Hanifa Kawoya donated money to Muslims in Mateete, Kasana and Nambiriizi.
