THE Democratic party (DP) Presidential candidate John Ssebaana Kizito has blasted health minister Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi over what he called appaling health services in the country.

“I know Muhwezi is from here, tell him that all health units have no drugs,” said Ssebaana, during a rally in Rukungiri district on Wednesday.

Ssebaana addressed rallies in Buhunga, Kebisoni, Buyanja and Kagunga before he addressed a main rally at Rukungiri stadium.

He was welcomed by bodaboda cyclists and a huge crowd, some of whom were flashing the two-finger symbol for the Forum for Democratic Change party.
Ssebaana said he would woo Ugandan doctors who work abroad to come back.

“It’s a pity that when a government official is ill, he goes abroad for treatment. I will make sure our hospitals have the necessary equipment. I will pay health workers attractive salaries to encourage those abroad to come back,” he said.
