Mayor to ban market tax

INCUMBENT Mukono town council mayor Johnson Muyanja has promised to scrap daily market dues levied on vendors.
He backed President Yoweri Museveni’s scrapping of graduated tax last year, saying it was an additional burden to the majority unemployed population.
Muyanja, the official NRM candidate for the post, was launching his campaign at Nabuti village on Saturday.
