CHAMPIONS Crane High basketball team will go into today’s Miracle Basketball Club (MBC) Challenger series with not only the title defence in mind, but also the sh0.1m cash prize money in mind.
The one-day event, is the third edition of celebrations of the club existence. Miracle will be marking 11 years. The competition will be spiced up with dunking and three-point shooting competitions with the eventual winners collecting a sh30,000 bounty each.
Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga will host the invitational tournament that will see six men’s teams and three women’s teams converge for the celebrations. Winners in the women’s category stand to win a sh70, 000 cash prize.
The event is sponsored by Miracle Centre Cathedral in conjuction with the club, and the local basketball body giving technical support.
