THE good form of Kampala City Council (KCC) volleyball club’s Emma Ariyo and Brenda Nannungi has been rewarded with a study trip to Germany, writes William Muwonge.

The two national team players are however looking for air tickets so that they make the trip.

Spiker Ariyo and her colleague, who is an all rounder, each got a six-month sports science scholarship at Leipzig University.
Ariyo, speaking on behalf of her teammate, said the programme starts on March 6 but the trip is still in the balance.

“What is required of us are two return air tickets. The other expenses will be catered for by the Germans,” Ariyo said.

A ticket costs $1,200 (sh2.2m) but the two players, both 23, are financially constrained.

“We were asked to present tickets at the German Embassy in order to get visas but we are still stuck,” Ariyo added while calling for Good Samaritans to support their cause.
